County's property service achieves UK-wide first

Worcestershire's Property Service (WPS), the one-stop countywide commercial property finder service is the first in the country to adopt the browser-based, inward-investment, solution software Evolutive.

The software, which went live in April, has been implemented in order to augment the capacity for the increasingly popular web-based service, use of which has increased by 30 per cent in the last 12-month period. Evolutive will improve the effectiveness and speed of the complex system which provides browsers with details of more than 5 million square feet of commercial space at any one time. In addition to delivering greater efficiencies, the installation of Evolutive also enables Worcestershire County Council to achieve the first step towards one of central Government's key policy strategies which is to enable all local authority operating systems to interface with one another as Evolutive is eGif (e-Government Interoperability Framework) compliant.

Pat Prosser, who manages Worcestershire's Property Service welcomes the new system, "In recent months we have seen a significant increase in demand for WPS services, most notably with a surge of activity in the office market which has risen 12 per cent in the past year. The majority of this increased demand has been via our website. The roll-out of Evolutive is, therefore, extremely timely and, with its sophisticated client relationship management, enquiry and reporting system, we will be able to expand our capacity and excel in customer service."
