Firm collects a prestigious contract
Alcium Software has clinched a prestigious contract with a consortium of London councils with the help of Business Link South Yorkshire.
The Sheffield firm is the developer of Property Pilot - a piece of software designed to help inward investment managers - which will now be used by Gateway to London, a partnership company set up by the councils to attract investment to their districts.
"This landmark piece of software helps Inward Investment Managers to assist with commercial relocation packages more efficiently," says David Patterson, Business Advisor with Business Link South Yorkshire.
"The software has been sold extensively throughout the UK, but the sale to Gateway to London Ltd marks Alcium's first breakthrough into the important London market."
Marketing
Alcium was formed in 2001 and has been receiving business advice and assistance from Business Link South Yorkshire from the start. Support has included marketing advice and a high-growth start-up grant of around £4000 that enabled the company to expand.
"We are delighted to have secured such an important contract," said David Fildes, Managing Director of Alcium Software. "This is a long-term relationship and will lead to our company helping with the regeneration of the London Docklands and Thames Gateway areas.
"We are also keen to get involved with other regenration schemes across the UK," he continued. "This sale is just one example of the success we are now achieving on the back of business development assistance from Business Link South Yorkshire."
